The Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners took no action following an ethics complaint raised during the board’s Regular Meeting on Tuesday (Feb. 17).
Commissioners are subject to a Code of Ethics adopted in 2010 (N.C.G.S. 153A-53 and 160A-86). The code allows a majority of the board to vote to open an ethics investigation against a member “if it has reason to believe that one of its members has violated a provision of this Code of Ethics.”
The board went into closed session to discuss the matter, then returned and closed the meeting. No motion was made, and no vote was taken.
