Water Conservation

Water conservation is becoming ever more important as the population in our region continues to grow. This has been illustrated during the droughts that this region have experienced over the last decade. Cabarrus County is doing the following to conserve water at its facilities:

  • Rain storage tanks have been installed at the Governmental Center, the Concord Senior Center and Grounds Maintenance.
  • County building sinks have been retrofitted with low flow nozzles.
  • Xeriscape projects have recently been completed at the Concord Senior Center and Rowan Cabarrus Community College as well as Frank Liske Park.
