The Juvenile Crime Prevention Council:

  • reviews the needs of at-risk youth
  • evaluates juvenile services and programs
  • promotes public awareness
  • develops intervention strategies
  • provides funding for services, treatment and counseling

The council consists of 26 members. These members include judicial and agency representatives, as well as seven at-large representatives.

Appointments are for two-year terms.
