The #CabCoAlert service allows authorized County leaders to rapidly disseminate time–sensitive messages. These messages go to every phone number and email address in the database. They can be received as phone calls, emails, text messages and/or phone apps. With this service, authorized users can send thousands of messages in minutes. Only authorized officials can access to the system.
In an emergency, the Sheriff’s Office and local police are able to place evacuation calls to your home land line. Residents are still encouraged to register their cell phones. Registration increases the likelihood you receive notification of evacuation and post-event all clear.
Authorized officials record a voice message. This message is quickly delivered to individual phones in the notification database.

This system is a significant enhancement to existing means of communication. It is supplemental to, not a replacement for, the systems we have used in the past. TV, radio, social media and our web site continue to broadcast important announcements.
Yes, we can accept cell phones as primary and secondary phone numbers. We recommend requesting the inclusion of your mobile number.
