Cabarrus County Government offices, including the Government Center, Social Services, Veterans Services, Animal Shelter, Active Living Centers and LunchPlus Clubs, close Dec. 24-26 for Christmas and Jan. 1 for New Year’s Day.
County Parks close Dec. 24, 25 and Jan. 1.
All libraries close Dec. 24-26 and early at 5 p.m. on Dec. 31. The Mt. Pleasant and Afton Ridge Active Living Centers also close early at 5 p.m. on Dec. 31 to match library hours. All library branches are closed Jan. 1.
The Cabarrus County Landfill operates regular hours on Tuesday, Dec. 23 (8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) but closes Dec. 24-26 and Jan. 1. The landfill will be open Saturday, Dec. 27, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Facility reopens Monday, Dec. 29. The next HHW collection event is scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 7, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The next Board of Commissioners Work Session is Monday, Jan. 5 at 5 p.m.
