Public Library Mobile App

Managing library accounts is now easier and more convenient with the Cabarrus County Library System’s new mobile app. The platform is a one-stop shop for library patrons that puts a wealth of services at their fingertips.

After more than a year of development, the app soft-launched in November, and was officially released earlier this month. It’s now available in the Apple App and Google Play stores.

The app allows patrons to see both physical and digital checkouts, including holds and overdue items. It’s also linked to online services like Hoopla and Libby so digital checkouts can be returned within the County’s app.

The app provides a listing of library locations and plots out the one nearest to the user.

Along with the full library catalog, monthly challenges and employee recommendations are featured on the discover page.

The app also puts patron account information in one easily accessible location and can act as their official library card.

“Access and connection are always at the forefront of the services and programs we offer,” says Library Director Melanie Holles. “This app is a perfect example of how we connect with residents beyond the library walls.”
