Second Annual Cabarrus County Mental Health Simulation Event

Mental Health simulation website.png

The second annual Cabarrus County Mental Health Simulation is an interactive experience designed to help participants better understand what it can be like to navigate the mental health care system during a crisis.

Each attendee will move through a series of real-world obstacles that simulate the barriers, frustrations and emotional toll many people experience while trying to navigate a mental health crisis. The simulation is designed to reveal gaps between available services, funding and the real needs of individuals and families, while also inspiring solutions that could make accessing mental health care easier for everyone.

Following the simulation, attendees will participate in a panel discussion and Q&A focused on the experience and opportunities for improving access to care.

The event is sponsored by Monarch and Healthy Blue BCBS and is a collaborative effort among the Cabarrus County Behavioral Health Department, Cabarrus County Government, Support Incorporated, PARTNERS (Cabarrus Community Collaborative), NAMI( Cabarrus, Rowan Stanly) and Amazing Grace Advocacy.
