Trunk-or-Treat returns to Cabarrus EMS

Cabarrus County Emergency Medical Services will host its second annual Trunk-or-Treat event Thursday, Oct. 23, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at EMS headquarters, 793 Cabarrus Ave. W, Concord.
The family-friendly event will include decorated vehicles, candy, coloring stations and a dance party.
Participating vehicles will compete in a Best Decoration contest. Guests can cast votes until 8 p.m., and the top three winners will receive trophies.

Cabarrus County Active Living and Parks is hosting other seasonal events the whole family can enjoy.
Jack O’ Lantern Jaunt 5K
Lace up for the 24th annual Jack O’ Lantern Jaunt 5K, set for Saturday, Oct. 25, at Frank Liske Park, 4001 Stough Road, Concord. The Fun Run begins at 5 p.m. followed by the 5K at 5:30. Registration is available online at https://bit.ly/48GgdVh. Prices increase after Oct. 17.
Touch-A-Truck
Families can get an up-close look at emergency vehicles, construction equipment and more during the Touch-A-Truck event Saturday, Nov. 1, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cabarrus Arena & Events Center, 4751 NC Hwy 49, Concord. The event, sponsored by Mulch Solutions, is free and open to the public. Parking is $8.
