Cabarrus County facilities will operate on alternate schedules Tuesday (Feb. 3), with some services opening at 8 a.m. and others opening at noon.
Camp T.N. Spencer will remain closed for the day due to site conditions, along with all LunchPlus Club sites.
Here are the facilities scheduled for an 8 a.m. opening: Governmental Center, Sheriff’s Office, Animal Shelter, Board of Elections, ITS, Concord Active Living Center, Cooperative Extension, Household Hazardous Waste Facility, DSS Cannon Boulevard location and Rob Wallace Park.
The Concord, Harrisburg, Midland and Kannapolis library branches and the Mt. Pleasant Library and Active Living Center will open at the normal time of 9 a.m.
Sites opening at noon include the DSS Milestone location, Afton Ridge Active Living Center and Frank Liske and Vietnam Veterans parks.
The Transportation department will begin running at 7 a.m., with two drivers per bus to help with road awareness and to assist passengers to and from the bus.
The County Landfill will open at 8 a.m. for residential waste. Construction and demolition waste will be accepted beginning at noon.
The alternate schedule was determined following a day of location checks by the County’s Infrastructure and Asset Management Department. Crews made their way across the county Monday, assessing conditions and clearing problem areas.
