EMS Trunk or Treat headed to Frank Liske Park
Published on October 15, 2026
Cabarrus County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is hosting its popular Trunk-or-Treat event on Thursday, Oct. 22.
And this year, they’re bringing the party to an even bigger venue: Frank Liske Park. The event runs from 4:30 to 8 p.m. at the park, located at 4001 Stough Road, Concord.
In addition to a wide variety of themed “trunks,” the event will host food trucks from What-A-Burger #13, Hungry Howie’s and Traveling Tom’s Coffee.
“We invite everyone to come and give their costumes a test run in a safe, spacious environment,” says Cabarrus EMS Captain Kara Clark. “This event has grown each year, and 2026 promises to offer plenty of treats along with helpful resources and important information for all ages.”
Participating “trunks” can compete in a best decoration contest, judged by special guests. The top three entries will take home trophies.
The fall fun continues through Halloween, as Cabarrus County Active Living and Parks is hosting seasonal events for the whole family.
Jack O’ Lantern Jaunt
Frank Liske Park is also hosting the Jack O’ Lantern Jaunt 5K and Fun Run, now in its 25th year, on Saturday, Oct. 24.
The first 275 registered runners receive a custom "Finisher" medal, courtesy of presenting sponsor Ground Thunder.
Awards are given for Top Overall Male and Female, Master Male and Female and Grand Master Male and Female.
Individual awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers in all age groups.
Vendors will stage a Trunk or Treat-style setup at the event.
Touch-A-Truck
Families can get an up-close look at emergency vehicles, construction equipment and more at Touch-A-Truck on Saturday, Oct. 31.
The event is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Cabarrus Arena & Events Center, 4751 NC Hwy 49, Concord. A low-sensory period runs from 9 to 10:30 a.m. A helicopter is scheduled to land between 10:45 and 11 a.m.
Make it a full-day Halloween celebration by wearing your costume while exploring the vehicles, grabbing some candy and completing the obstacle course.
The event, presented by H&H Towing, is free and open to the public. Parking is $10. Special thanks to sponsors Blythe Construction, Well Doctor LLC and Ninja Nation Huntersville.
