Camp T.N. Spencer pool adjusts weekend reservation schedule
Published on June 10, 2026
Due to increased demand and reservations at the Camp T.N. Spencer Pool, Cabarrus County Active Living and Parks will implement new weekend reservation time blocks beginning Wednesday, July 1.
On Saturdays and Sundays, the morning reservation block will be from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the afternoon reservation block will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Park staff will clear the pool between reservation blocks. The change will take effect beginning Saturday, July 4.
“We’re glad so many residents are enjoying our pool facilities,” said Ian Sweeney, assistant director of Cabarrus County Active Living and Parks. “This updated reservation system will help us better serve the community and create more opportunities for residents to cool off and enjoy the pool this summer. It’s hot out there. Jump in.”
Weekday operations will not change. The pool will remain open Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Pool access is $5 per person on weekdays and $5 per person, per block on weekends. Residents may walk in or preregister online at www.cabarruscounty.us/register by selecting the "Parks Programs" tab and then the "Pool" dropdown menu. Walk-in visitors are accepted on a first-come, first served basis until the pool reaches capacity.
Pool passes may be purchased up to one week in advance unless residents are also making a facility reservation. Residents reserving a facility should contact Cabarrus County Active Living and Parks at 704-920-2747 to purchase pool passes in conjunction with their reservation.
Active Living and Parks also recently updated its policy for unaccompanied minors. Anyone younger than 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
