Cabarrus property tax payments due soon; new listing period opens
Published on December 30, 2025
As the new year approaches, Cabarrus officials are reminding residents that January 5, 2026, is the last day to pay this year’s Cabarrus County and municipal real estate and personal property tax bills without interest. Payments received after that date are subject to interest.
Property tax bills are based on the January 2025 value of property and tax rates set by County and municipal officials in June.
While the original due date for these bills was September 1, taxpayers are given a grace period to pay before incurring interest. Unpaid bills may be listed in the newspaper and become subject to collections.
Residents can securely pay online through the county website at myCabCo.cabarruscounty.us or through the myCabCo mobile app available on the Apple App Store and Google Play.
The myCabCo platform offers:
- A simple, step-by-step payment process
- Option to pay multiple bills at once to save on service fees
- Options for partial payments to help with budgeting
- Save property details for faster future payments
Payments can also be made by mail (must be postmarked by January 5, 2026) or in person at the Cabarrus County Tax Administration Office at 65 Church Street South, Concord. Note that Cabarrus County Government offices will be closed for Christmas December 24-26, and again Jan. 1 for New Year’s Day.
For questions or assistance, contact Cabarrus County Tax Administration at 704-920-2119 or email taxinfo@cabarruscounty.us.

The deadline for filing personal property tax listings is January 31, 2026. Failure to file by this date will result in a 10% penalty.
Listings can be submitted in person, by mail (postmarked by January 31) or online at cabarruscounty.us through the taxpayer portal that will be available on January 1. Access the listing at tax.cabarruscounty.us/taxpayerportal/OnlineListing2
