Our precinct officials are key people during an election. Officials are appointed by the Cabarrus County Board of Elections to serve for a 2 year term. The appointments are made in August of odd numbered years.
NC General Statutes have specific requirements and restrictions when appointing precinct officials.
Precinct officials must work on Election Day starting between 5:30 am - 5:45 am. The time will depend on precinct location. They must stay until closing of the polls and reconciliation of the election. This is usually by 9:00 pm. They must also help set up the precinct on Monday before the election. Times will vary according to precinct.
Precinct officials are your friends, co-workers, and neighbors. We need your help. Apply now!
