The Planning Division is responsible for current and long-range planning activities in unincorporated areas of Cabarrus County.

Planning Staff processes the following applications and requests:

• Rezoning Petitions
• Subdivision Proposals
• Special Use Permits
• Variance Requests
• Vested Rights Requests
• Architectural Reviews

Additionally, Planning Staff provides: 

• Long Range Planning Services 
• Staff Support to the Cabarrus County Planning and Zoning Commission
• Staff Support to the Cabarrus County Board of Adjustment
• 911 Addressing Services
