The Board of Elections does not enforce sign laws. Complaints are directed to the zoning department that has jurisdiction over the area.
Important: In August 2021, the Town of Harrisburg enacted a new Unified Development Ordinance. They removed all references to political signs. Signs in Harrisburg municipal limits are no longer governed by the previous charter. They are now governed by NC General Statute 136-32.
