Early voting allows voters to cast a ballot at any early voting site before the election. This can be done, in person, on select days prior to Election Day. This is different from Election Day, where registered voters can only vote at their assigned precinct. Each early voting site has all the ballot styles for a given election.
During the early voting period, voters may register to vote and vote at the same time, as long as sufficient proof of name and address is provided. When you present to vote at an early voting site, you may change your name or address, if needed.
All voters at early voting sites will be asked to show a photo ID, just as on Election Day.
The Cabarrus County Board of Elections will hold their noticed meeting on Monday, March 23 at 5:30 p.m. instead of the noticed time of 12:30 pm. The Board will be discussing the early voting plan for the November General election.
