Cabarrus property tax bills available online; hitting mailboxes soon
Published on July 29, 2025
Municipal and County real estate and personal property tax bills are mailing soon, and property owners can make payments and register for paperless billing through the myCabCo service.
Tax bills are issued to property owners listed on tax records as of Jan. 1, 2025. Taxes are based on the January 2025 assessed value of property and property tax rates set by county and municipal officials in June.
Residents can view their bills by visiting tax.cabarruscounty.us/TaxBill.aspx. Paper bills are expected to begin mailing July 29.
MyCabCo allows users to create a single, secure wallet that stores all their transaction information in one place. From there, users can set up alerts and maintain access to receipts. Additional features include:
- A shopping cart that helps save on service fees by paying multiple bills at once
- A simple chat-style walkthrough for payment
- The ability to make partial payments, which can help users schedule and budget over several months
- The option to register and save properties for even easier future payments
E-billing is also available through myCabCo, allowing taxpayers to receive and pay tax bills through their account.
The free myCabCo app can be downloaded on the Apple and Android app stores. The service is also accessible through desktop and mobile devices at myCabCo.cabarruscounty.us.
This year’s tax bills have the County tax rate of 57.6 cents per $100 of property value. With that, owners of a $356,350 house (the median single-family assessed home value in Cabarrus as of the 2024 revaluation) would pay $2,052.58 a year in County property tax.
Cabarrus commissioners approved the FY26 budget, which maintains last year’s tax rate, on June 16.
Bills are payable when received and indicate a due date of Sept. 1, 2025. Taxpayers are given a four-month window before penalties kick in on unpaid balances after Jan. 6, 2026.
For those who can’t make a one-time payment, the County’s tax collections department will work with taxpayers throughout the year on plans that pay the bill in full by the delinquent date. The taxpayer is responsible for contacting the Collections office to request that option.
Cabarrus County real estate and personal property tax can be paid in a variety of ways, including:
- Via the myCabCo website (myCabCo.cabarruscounty.us) or app using a credit or debit card
- By mail using the return envelope and coupon provided with the bills
- In person at the Cabarrus County Tax Collections office at the Government Center, 65 Church St. S, Concord
