Water Conservation

Water conservation is becoming more important as our region's population continues to grow. This has been illustrated with the droughts our region experienced this last decade. Cabarrus County is doing the following to conserve water at its facilities:

  • Rain storage tanks have been installed at:
    • The Governmental Center
    • The Concord Active Living Center
    • Grounds Maintenance
  • County building sinks were retrofitted with low flow nozzles
  • Xeriscape projects have recently been completed at:
    • The Concord Active Living Center
    • Rowan Cabarrus Community College
    • Frank Liske Park
