Join us for Cabarrus County Creek Week, a celebration of local waterways and the natural beauty of our region. Inspired by the NC Department of Environmental Quality’s goal to raise awareness of water quality and stewardship, this week offers fun, educational and family-friendly events that highlight how we can all protect our creeks, rivers and streams.

  • • Join Cooperative Extension in an art upcycle project that turns old cartons into a bird feeder

• • Family Movie Night: Finding Nemo - Frank Liske Park
  • • Watch Finding Nemo at the barn, along with some fun activities. Free popcorn and drinks for the first 50 registrants.

  • • Join us for a free family festival celebrating Creek Week at Frank Liske Park from 10 am to 2 pm. We’ll have fishing, paddle boating, kayaking, games, an art upcycle project, challenges, live animals, snow cones and more!

    • Celebrate World River Day by doing a stream cleanup
