Summer Reading Program (SRP): Libraries Rock!

What is the Summer Reading Program
  • The SRP encourages summer reading, education, and retention through programs, performers, and events around a centralized theme.
Who can participate
  • Any Cabarrus County resident. The program divides participants into groups (Birth-5, 6-12, 12-18 and Adult) with age-appropriate activities.
How can I participate
Prizes
  1. Get a prize for signing up
  • ‍Kids ages 0-12 choose from rubber duck or stamper
  • Teens earn a cell phone speaker
  • ‍Adults earn a browsing bag
  1. Get a prize for completing an activity log (ten activities per log); Maximum of three logs per person
  • Ages birth-5, earn one of the following: A free book, $2 fine waiver, maraca
  • Ages 6-12, earn one of the following: A free book, $2 fine waiver, inflatable guitar
  • Ages 12-18, earn one of the following: A free book, $2 fine waiver, entry into gift card raffle*
  • Ages 18 and Up, earn one of the following: A free book, $2 fine waiver, entry into gift card raffle*

*Gift cards are $100 each. Two winners are selected per branch location (one adult winner and one teen winner). Alternate winners are selected if contact cannot be made by library staff member. Winners are selected on Monday, August 13.
