Fall Litter Sweep

Litter along North Carolina’s roads is a constant issue, so there is always a need volunteers like you to help keep our roads clean, safe and beautiful. This year’s Fall Litter Sweep is September 14-28.

Participants will be given clean-up supplies such as reversible orange and blue trash bags, gloves and safety vests from their local NCDOT County Maintenance Yard offices.

In Cabarrus County, call NCDOT representative Toni Brown at 980-287-0040. The maintenance office is at 150 Dutch Road in Mt. Pleasant, just off N.C. 73.

NCDOT spends $18 million a year picking up litter. Volunteer efforts like the spring and fall litter sweeps, plus Adopt-A-Highway teams, help keep our roads clean while saving taxpayers millions of dollars.
