Cabarrus This Week--October 14
CTW finds the way to the Get Lost Corn Maze. Get Lost Corn Maze is a locally-owned-and-operated family agritourism business located just off the beaten path, 19 miles east of Concord, off Highway 73 in Millingport.
Get Lost is in their ninth season and have crafted more than four miles of paths in over ten acres of corn. In addition to losing your way in the straw maze, there are many other interactive fall activities to enjoy. Get a birds-eye view in the look-out tower and let the kids play on play sets designed for all ages. Enjoy a picnic in one of the many pavilions and pick your own pumpkin in their patch. What I like to call the pumpkin chuncker, let’s you compete in a sling shot game! You can dig in the corn pit for a hidden treasure or learn about live farm animals in their education farm stable. Don’t forget to bring your camera for a must-have photo in the sunflower patch. That would make an excellent holiday card by the way.
Zorb balls let you roll into family fun and the gigantic jumpy pillow is sure to get the giggles going. After all this fun, sit-a-spell and enjoy a cup of lemonade or treat from their concessions.
No matter your age, Get Lost Corn Maze offers a creative and inexpensive environment to enjoy the outdoors. They are open Saturdays, 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. and Sundays, 1 – 6 p.m. until November 8. Admission to the maze is $9 per person. Weekday appointments are also available by contacting the field office.
