Weather-related updates, February 14

Feb. 13, 2014 – Severe weather continues to affect the following Cabarrus County offices and services for Friday, February 14, 2014.
All Cabarrus County Government offices will delay opening until 12 p.m. (noon). Essential personnel must report for work at their usual time. The Severe Weather Leave Plan is in effect for non-essential personnel.
All Cabarrus County Transportation Services and Cabarrus Links services are suspended for the morning. Tomorrow, the County will evaluate and make a determination regarding afternoon transports.
The Cabarrus County Landfill (Irish Potato Rd.) and Household Hazardous Waste Facility (off Hwy 49) are closed on Friday. The County will evaluate conditions and determine if the facilities will open on Saturday.
All Cabarrus County LunchPlus meal sites are canceled on Friday.
All classes at the Cabarrus County Senior Centers and parks are canceled on Friday. This includes the Friday Night Dance at the Concord Senior Center. All youth basketball practices and games that are part of the Cabarrus County Active Living and Parks Department are also canceled for Friday and Saturday, February 15.
Parks are closed. County is evaluating conditions to determine if they will open later today.
Per its usual schedule, the Cabarrus County Public Library System is closed on Friday.
