Pack a picnic and celebrate July 4 in a Cabarrus park

County offices closed on Friday, July 4

June 25, 2014 — Cabarrus County will close its administrative offices on Friday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day. This includes all branches of the Cabarrus County Public Library, Concord and Mt. Pleasant Senior Centers, Department of Human Services, County Landfill, Household Hazardous Waste Facility and the Cabarrus County Governmental Center.
 
Frank Liske Park is open from 8 a.m.-9 p.m., and Camp T.N. Spencer and North Cabarrus parks are open 8 a.m.-8 p.m. on July 4. Hours for the paddleboats and miniature golf at Frank Liske Park are 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., and the pool at Camp TN Spencer Park is open 10 a.m. until 7 p.m.
 
The Harrisburg branch of the Cabarrus County Public Library System will close at 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 3, due to the celebration in Harrisburg Park.
 
The Construction and Demolition Landfill will open on Saturday, July 5, 8 a.m.-2 p.m.
Republic Services curbside garbage and recyclable collections for residents in unincorporated parts of Cabarrus will pick up on Saturday, July 5, for residents whose normal collection day is Friday.
