Hit the rapids and zip your way to adventure

Join CTW for a thrill-a-minute at the U.S. National Whitewater Center

Aug. 26, 2014 – CTW visited the U.S. National Whitewater Center, home to the world’s largest man-made whitewater river. The center is dedicated to the promotion of the active, outdoor lifestyle. Since 2006, the USNWC has promoted access to the outdoors for all levels of participants through its all-day pass programs, instruction, leadership school as well as festivals, races and other outdoor events. The USNWC’s 500+ acres offer a wide variety of outdoor options for all ages and skill levels. Guests can enjoy whitewater rafting, kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding, rock climbing, zip lines, ropes courses, a canopy tour, and mountain biking on the 25+ mile trail system.
The main gate and trails are open, weather permitting, 365 days a year, from dawn until dusk. The availability of activities and related operating hours vary with the seasons. AllSport passes allow guests daylong access to activities and are $54 for adults and for $44 for children 9 and younger. The center also offers group activities as well as individual QuickSport passes for more than 27 different outdoor activities.
For more information on the U.S. National Whitewater Center, located at 5000 Whitewater Center Parkway in Charlotte, call 704-391-3900 or visit www.usnwc.org.
