May 7, 2013 — The Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners held a work session on May 6 to set the agenda for its May 20 meeting.
At the meeting, the Board heard from Charlotte Deputy City Manager Ron Kimble regarding the creation of the Charlotte Regional Airport Authority. The Board continued their discussion on adding a compost facility to the County’s landfill, and learned about new recommendations on zoning and subdivision ordinances. The Board also considered taking the final steps to create the County’s Human Services Agency.
The next meeting of the Board of Commissioners is on May 20 at 6:30 p.m. in the meeting chambers of the Government Center.
