Cabarrus softball and kickball league registration underway

softball.jpgJuly 16, 2014 -- Looking for a fun way to get active and engage in the community? Now through August 8, teams can register to participate in adult coed softball, men’s softball or coed kickball leagues administered through Cabarrus County Active Living and Parks (ALP) department.

Games begin the week of August 18 and are held at Frank Liske Park (4001 Stough Road, Concord).
Over the course of the season, coed softball teams in the league will play eight games on Monday nights, men’s division adult softball teams will play 12 games on Tuesday nights, and coed kickball teams will play eight games on Wednesday nights. Each of the leagues includes an end-of season tournament.
Each coed softball and kickball team can have up to 30 people on the roster and must have a minimum of 10 people to start a game, of which five must be male and five female. Teams can have up to 12 players in the batting order, with equal numbers of men and women.
Men’s softball teams must have a minimum of nine players to start a game and can bat up to 12 players.
