Cabarrus administrative offices close for the holiday, parks open

June 16, 2017 — On Saturday, June 24, the Mt. Pleasant Branch of the Library will close early at 4:30 p.m. to allow for the road closure for the Mt. Pleasant Independence Day Parade.
 
On Monday, July 3, the Harrisburg Branch of the Library closes and remains closed until Wednesday, July 5 for the Harrisburg 4th of July Celebration.
 
The County will close all offices, libraries, senior centers, human services, The Household Hazardous Waste Facility and landfill (Irish Potato Rd.) on Wednesday, July 4. We’ll resume normal operating hours on Wednesday, July 5.

On July 4, visitors to all County parks can fish for free. Rob Wallace, Vietnam Veterans and Camp T.N. Spencer parks are open normal hours, from 8 a.m.- 8 p.m., and Frank Liske Park is open normal operating hours, from 8 a.m.-9 p.m. Cabarrus parks feature picnic areas, tennis courts, miniature golf course, softball fields, paddleboats, pool, nature trails with activity stops and fishing ponds.
 
There are no fireworks permitted at any of the Cabarrus County parks and there are no firework shows taking place in our parks.

Republic Services curbside garbage and recyclable collections for residents in unincorporated parts of Cabarrus County will operate normally.
 
The Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners work session remains on schedule for Monday, July 3, 4 p.m. in the multi-purpose room of the Government Center (65 Church St. SE, Concord).
