June 20, 2013 — The technical glitch that affected the Cabarrus County 9-1-1 system was resolved late this afternoon and all systems are restored.
Earlier this morning, 9-1-1 systems in multiple North Carolina counties experienced a technical issue that created a busy signal when some calls were placed to 9-1-1. The County relied on backup systems to assist with calls during the glitch.
The Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office would like to remind residents to sign up for the County’s mass-notification system, which provides messages and directions to keep residents informed when situations arise. To sign up, visit http://bit.ly/CabCoReverse911.
