The Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP) enables low-income families to permanently reduce their energy bills by making their homes more energy efficient.
Clients may be any age, must be income eligible, may live in a house or mobile home, homeowner or renter (landlord must pay 10% and agree to not increase rent for two years). Available to all county residents.
Test are performed to check for carbon monoxide, efficiency and blower door for air leakage.
Typical work performed under this program include: caulking, weather stripping, repair of windows and doors, installation of all type of insulation, replacement of water heaters, installation of vents, vapor barriers and building of attic and crawl space doors.
A complete computerized analysis will identify and prioritize needs and will project financial savings after the improvements are complete.
