The Department of Human Services offers programs to assist the community with transportation needs. Transportation services, operated in collaboration with Cabarrus County Transportation Services (CCTS), enable all eligible individuals to access necessary medical care and other resources to improve and enhance quality of life. By providing transportation for essential services, we promote an independent lifestyle, allowing individuals to remain in their homes as long as possible.

Home and Community Block Grant Transportation (currently operating through a waiting list) will assist clients that are over sixty years of age and are not receiving Medicaid to cover the cost for transportation to doctor appointments and pharmacy visits (for prescription pickups only). Transportation to LunchPlus Club programs are also a part of their services.

Contact the Adult and Aging services line at 704-920-1400 for questions about transportation services. Requests for assistance can also be made in person.
