False Alarm Ordinance

The false alarm ordinance was adopted on March 1st, 1999 for the purpose of tracking the number of false alarms (fire, burglary and medical) throughout Cabarrus County. By registering alarm systems, we have the necessary information to contact alarm users and encourage them to maintain their systems to reduce the number of false alarms thus keeping emergency personnel available for true emergencies.

Obtain or renew an alarm system permit.

If you are unable to complete the process online, you may complete a paper form and either return the form by standard mail or deliver in person to our office. We can only accept payment by check or money order if submitting by paper form.
