June 7, 2016 - Primary Election
Polling Places will be open 6:30 am to 7:30 pm
The Board of Elections is the only statutory, bi-partisan, quasi-judicial, supervisory board in NC State government.
The local Board’s duties are imposed by law and include the making and issuing of rules, regulations, and instructions, not inconsistent with law or the rules established by the State Board of Elections, as it deems necessary for the guidance of election officers and voters.
Board meetings are open to the public and are usually held on the first Monday of every month at 4 pm and the third Monday of every month at 12 pm in the County Board of Elections office at 369 Church Street North, Concord.
Persons who wish to be recognized and speak at a Board meeting must notify the Board Director or Chairman five days preceding the next scheduled meeting. However, if there is just reason why the speaker cannot meet the five day deadline, the speaker may write the Board Chair for special approval by giving reason for the urgency and the subject matter for the meeting.
