Socialization and Assistance during the Day
The Cabarrus County Senior Centers provide a great care option for a loved one 60 years or older who can't be left home alone, needs daily assistance or supervision and/or social activities during the day.
Adult day programs assist older adults and adults with disabilities to remain in their own homes longer. They provide older adults and adults with disabilities with supervised care in a safe place outside the home, in a home-like setting.
Family caregivers are able to work, run errands, relax, or tend to other matters during the day without worrying about the safety and care of their loved ones.
Adult Day Services include:
- Therapeutic activities including mental interaction, planned socialization, exercise, and recreational activities, appropriate for your loved ones condition.
- Health monitoring, medication administration and assistance with personal care needs, such a toileting, grooming and/or assistance with eating, etc.
- Nutritious meals and snacks including special dietary needs are offered as part of this program.
Cabarrus County Senior Centers Adult Day Services are provided through a contractual agreement with certified adult day service centers in our community and are funded through the Family Caregiver Support Program, Home and Community Care Block Grant, and Consumer Directed Services Program.
