Cabarrus, Stanly, and Union counties are working together to update the regional Hazard Mitigation Plan. Natural disasters in our area are inevitably going to occur; however, the purpose of this plan is to assess our community’s natural hazard risks and determine how to become less vulnerable when disaster strikes.
Public input and support are essential parts of this plan. In order to develop the most effective and beneficial plan possible, your input is needed! A public meeting will be held on November 29th from 6pm-7pm at the Cabarrus County Governmental Center in Concord.
All interested residents from these counties and participating jurisdictions are invited to attend the meeting. By applying a collective approach to hazard mitigation plan development, we will contribute to a more resilient community! We look forward to seeing you on the 29th!
