Cabarrus County recently launched a new research-based brand supported by the tagline “America Thrives Here.” Residents are invited to an upcoming Government 101 class to experience how the brand extends to every county department and how that translates to community support. Simply put, it’s an opportunity to learn how and why Cabarrus thrives. Cabarrus County, America Thrives Here, will take place Friday, February 23, 8:30 a.m.-2 p.m., at the Cabarrus County Government Center (65 Church Street, Concord).
During the free class, participants will take part in presentations and demonstrations that showcase how various departments live the new brand. They also will discuss key County attributes that resonate with residents, explore the shared values of the community, learn our distinguishing features and hear about the economic drivers that set up our area for success.
Participants will also learn how the brand illustrates the many ways our community comes together to address issues and how residents, their families and businesses thrive due to opportunities that only exist in Cabarrus.
“This brand doesn’t set new goals for which Cabarrus should strive,” said Kristin Bunton, outreach coordinator for Cabarrus County. “Because of the dedication of Cabarrus residents, businesses and municipalities, we live the tagline America Thrives Here.”
Bunton encourages attendance from local business professionals, community organization representatives, neighborhood leaders and residents.
The County Government 101 series is open to any Cabarrus resident 18 and older. The class is limited to 20 participants. Registration is required and lunch is provided.
