Cabarrus County is committed to a streamlined addressing process that creates an accurate, standardized E911/GIS Master Address Database for all jurisdictions. The Addressing Division leads a multi-jurisdictional collaborative effort to set technical standards and vet addressing projects.
Before an address is assigned, the plat must be processed and entered into GIS. New subdivision addresses are assigned within 14 business days of receipt of a final plat.
Street And Development Name Approval
New street and development names require approval and must not duplicate or closely resemble the name of an existing street. To proceed, complete and submit a street name approval form to the Cabarrus County address coordinator. Responses will be sent by email.
If approved, the new street or development name will be placed on reserve for the project.
