The first-ever Tastefully Cabarrus is set to happen in conjunction with the 7th annual Spring Into Arts Festival on Saturday, May 12 from noon until 9 p.m. This event, hosted by the Cabarrus County Senior Centers, provides the perfect opportunity to sample a little bit of everything from some of the best local restaurants.
There are many participants for Tastefully Cabarrus which includes local restaurants and catering services such as the Speakeasy Ale House, Bistro Catering, Brickhouse Grill, Sweet Pickle Bakery, Chef Jeff and Company. There will also be some larger restaurants, such as Sticky Fingers and Pagerosa.
Food tickets will be for sale at two information booths on Cabarrus Avenue and Means Avenue in downtown Concord, where vendors will also be located. The cost is $1 per ticket and the price per samples can range from $1-$3. Restaurants will have an average of 2-3 samples to taste.
All proceeds for Tastefully Cabarrus will benefit the Cabarrus County Senior Centers. As the older adult population grows, the senior centers strive to meet their needs. They offer educational, recreational, nutrition and wellness classes to continue to improve the quality of life and enable older adults. They also provide assistance with legal matters, insurance topics, caregiver support, and adults living on their own. The senior centers are a place of social interaction and camaraderie among fellow residents.
Tastefully Cabarrus is being held in combination with the 7th annual Spring Into Arts Festival, which promotes regional and local visual and performing arts. The daylong event provides entertainment, children’s art activities, art and craft for sale and the opportunity to meet artists. The event is free.
