Seminar Offers Tips for Successful New Business Ownership

Record-high unemployment over the past few years has left many Cabarrus County job-seekers seeking alternative income sources. More and more individuals are beginning to open their own businesses.

However, a recent trend has identified the rapid opening and closing of many new businesses around Cabarrus County. To respond to this common concern, members of the Cabarrus Council for a Sustainable Local Economy are offering a free seminar “So You Want to Start a Business?”

This seminar will provide a comprehensive business startup guide to address developing a business plan, legal structure options, funding strategies, as well as training and support resources. Participants can speak with successful local business owners, small business consultants, governmental officials, Chamber of Commerce and community college representatives about owning a business.

“So You Want to Start a Business?” seminars will be held:

·         March 22, 6:30-8:30 p.m., Davis Theater, 65 Union Street South, Concord

·         March 28, 6:30-8:30 p.m., 120 West Avenue, Cannon Village, Kannapolis

To reserve a seat at the seminar, please call 704-216-3941.
