Save the Earth and some cash for college

studentconservation041613.jpgApril 16, 2013 — High school students with an interest in conservation have the opportunity to apply for the 2013 Resource Conservation Workshop, June 23-28, at North Carolina State University. The Cabarrus Soil and Water Conservation District (CSWCD) is taking applications for the workshop through Friday, April 26. The CSWCD will select students to represent Cabarrus, and sponsor their registration and a portion of their workshop-related expenses.

At the workshop, students will spend a week in the field learning about our natural resources and their management in today's environment. They'll participate in hands-on work, guided by natural resource professionals. Students will also have the opportunity to participate in programs that award cash and scholarships.

To apply, download the application online and submit it to the Cabarrus Soil and Water Conservation District (715 Cabarrus Avenue West, Concord, NC 28027-6124) by Friday, April 26.
