Cabarrus taking applications for Airport Commission

Aug. 12, 2013 -- The Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners has opened the application period for residents interested in serving in the one position that represents Cabarrus County on the Charlotte-Douglas International Airport Commission.
 
Applicants must be registered voters of Cabarrus County and should have experience in aviation, logistics, construction, facilities management, law, accounting and/or finance. Residents of Cabarrus County with the aforementioned experience are urged to apply for membership.
 
In addition to an appointment application, applicants are requested to submit a one-page cover letter detailing their qualifications and experience as it relates to the representative position on the Charlotte-Douglas International Airport Commission.
 
Appointment applications are available at the County Manager's Office, may be downloaded from the County’s website or may be requested by calling 704-920-2100. The clerk to the board of commissioners must receive the application and cover letter by or before 5 p.m. on Thursday, August 29, 2013 for consideration by the Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners.
