The 2011 Cabarrus County Fair – to be held September 9-17 at Cabarrus Arena and Events Center – promises the fun and excitement that fair-goers come back for year after year, along with a new entertainment line-up.
The fair will feature thrill rides for all ages provided by Powers Great American Midways, many food choices, and a huge selection vendors.
For those who have always enjoyed the music at the fair, the WSOC Stage will feature a nearly non-stop music all nine days. The fair’s band lineup is jam-packed with talented “homegrown” artists with local followings. For a detailed WSOC Stage schedule visit CabarrusCountyFair.com.
Returning features that are part of the fair’s long-standing family tradition include:
• Robinson’s Paddling Pig Porkers,
• Ackmonster’s Chainsaw Artist,
• Steve Young Balloon Artist Extraordinaire and
• Doggies of the Wild West.
Along with these popular entertainment acts, patrons will enjoy live demonstrations including Sandscapes, a massive sand sculpture that will be built over the course of nine days, plus Carrie McQueen, who will be stilt walking and juggling among the crowd.

Sunday, September 11th: CH3 Canned Food Drive:
Free General Gate Admission for all from 1pm-3pm with 4 canned food items for adults and 2 canned food items for children. Rides not included.
Tuesday, September 13th: School Pride Night:
Receive $1.00 off General Gate Admission when you show off your school pride by wearing your favorite Grade School to College attire. Rides not included.
Thursday, September 16th: Salute to Seniors Night:
Admission price of $4.00 for Seniors 65 and older from 4pm–6pm only. Rides not included.
