Participate in CONNECT Our Future events

The CONNECT Our Future project, a Sustainable Communities initiative that is funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, is asking for your help in creating models of what our region could look like several years from now.

Community members can stop by one of several drop-in open house events in our region. At the open house, representatives from the project will survey what you value most about our region and what you think are the biggest challenges we face. You’ll also have an opportunity to ask questions about the project. They will use the feedback to develop different scenarios showing how our region could possibly grow.

CONNECT Our Future open house events will take place on:
  • Monday, December 3, from 4-7 p.m. at the Stanly County Agri-Civic Center, located 26032-B Newt Road, Albemarle;
  • Tuesday, December 4, from 4-7 p.m. in room 115 of the Rowan-Cabarrus Community College North Carolina Research Campus, located at 399 Biotechnology Lane, Kannapolis;
  • and December 6, from 4-7 p.m. at the Stanly County Community College, Crutchfield Campus, Huneycutt Community Room, located at 102 Stanly Parkway, Locust.
