Oct. 3, 2013 – The Cabarrus County Sheriff’s Office needs your help in preserving our area’s history. What many may not know is that our Sheriff’s office has created a historical archive of photos and memorabilia used by the department over time. While recent historical archives came together quickly, the department is in search of older photos of the department in action.
The Sheriff’s Office would appreciate the community’s support in searching for pictures and painted portraits of the Sheriffs of Cabarrus County—especially those who served prior to 1931. They are also looking to collect older snapshots of members of the Sheriff’s Office in the community, performing their regular duties or showing any equipment that may have been used at the time. All photos will be returned to the owners once a copy is made.
If you come across one of the requested photos and would like to share your historical perspectives of Cabarrus history, please call Sergeant T.C. Culp, 704-920-3019.
