Volunteer to assist the Department of Social Services in fulfilling its mission of serving the citizens of Cabarrus County in community partnership. Volunteering within the agency allows individuals the opportunity to discover how agency programs and services enhance the lives of Cabarrus County citizens.
Volunteer opportunities are available in customer service coordination, clerical support and direct caseworker support. Volunteers can also serve as interpreters for our Hispanic population to assist case managers and social workers while serving families.
The agency partners with local universities and community colleges to offer internships, when available, to allow students to obtain career-related experience and meet educational requirements.
