Frank Liske Park

Frank Liske SignLocated in the central part of Cabarrus County, this beautiful 238 acre park used to be a working farm for Stonewall Jackson Training School. Lake Update

Lake levels are continuing to rise and the lake is approximately 2/3rd's full. If the trend in weather continues we hope to be able to open the lake and paddleboats the first of April 2012.

Frank Liske Park Lake Closed for Dam Repair

The lake at Frank Liske Park was drained in order to repair the dam. Tree roots are compromising the structural integrity of the lake's dam, built around 1940.

Paddleboat rentals and fishing have been suspended during the repair work on the dam and will not be allowed until the lake is replenished naturally by rain water which may take up to one year. Approximately 4,500 fish were safely removed from the lake and transported to the three lakes at Camp TN Spencer Park. Once water levels are sufficient the lake will be restocked with fish.
