This 50 acre park was dedicated in 2003, the result of a partnership with the Cabarrus Boys and Girls Club. The area had been operated as a private summer camp since the late 1940’s. After a cooperative effort between the County and the Boys and Girls Club, Camp T. N. Spencer became a Cabarrus County Park and open to the public. The Boys and Girls Club summer camp program is still in existence and operates through the club each summer.

The park has community buildings available for rental for family reunions, meetings, weddings, and gatherings. Also available are: picnic shelters, a 1.5 mile trail, a playground, a volleyball court, 6 cabins, 8 tent sites, 3 fishing ponds, picnic sites, horseshoe pits, restroom and a bathhouse. There is a swimming pool that is open Memorial Day through Labor Day each year.
There are nature education programs offered throughout the year as well as a variety of other classes related to wildlife, conservancy, sustainability, and stewardship. There are educational opportunities each Friday and/or Saturday night for cabin renters and tent campers.
