The Kannapolis Branch, serving citizens of Kannapolis and the surrounding region since 1986, is located behind the YMCA and next to Village Park. The Library offers programs for all ages including storytimes, book clubs, author events, and summer reading events. The library has 18 internet computers, 2 word processing work stations, and 2 photocopiers for public use to serve the needs of Kannapolis citizens in the information age. The Kannapolis Branch is staffed by seven full-time workers and several volunteers with smiling faces and a willingness to help.​​

 Join us for a discussion of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs.   Jacob’s grandfather has always told him stories about his childhood friends that could do peculiar things.  There were even a few photographs of odd-looking kids doing odd things, but Jacob always thought they were just stories.  Until, that is, he visits a mysterious island.

Are you new to using computers and looking for a basic understanding of the internet?  In this class we will talk about what you can find on the internet, how you can find it and what websites you can trust on the internet.  We will also learn about how to nagivate online and some basic security measures.  This class assumes no previous internet knowledge but does assume you can use a mouse.  Registration required.

Many things require an email address, including most job searches.  If you are not sure what email is, how it works or how to get an address, this class is for you.  We will go over email basics, email etiquette, and we will help you sign up with one of the free email services.  Registration Required.
