"Let's Talk About It - Picturing America: Places in the Heart"

This series suggest the ways in which human experience is shaped, even defined, by place. They are set in an urban ghetto (Brothers and Keepers), along one of the great scenic rivers in North America (A River Runs Through It), and in small towns from Colorado (Plainsong) to Iowa (Gilead) to Maine (Empire Falls). In each, there is a deep connection between the characters and their surroundings, between them and the places they call home.

The series begins on 2/23/12 and runs through 4/19/12. Meetings will be held on Thursday mornings from 10 am to noon at the Concord Library. Registration begins on January 2. Please call Kris at 704-920-2053 to sign up. Books are provided free of charge to the participants as long as supplies last.
