This statutorily required policy board is charged with overseeing the operations of the County Social Services Department. It selects a director, develops policies to improve social conditions and assists with the preparation of the budget which is sent to the Board of County Commissioners.
The Board of Commissioners and the State each appoint two members, and these four members appoint the fifth member to the board.
Appointments are for terms of three years.
